Hendrey, William Brazier (May 14, 1939—May 22, 2017)

Bill Hendrey from New Trier High School in Wilmette, Illinois, was at Grinnell for the first two years of his undergraduate career. As a resident of Rawson Hall, he won a freshman numeral and an Honor G for swimming distance freestyle. In1962, he obtained a B.A. degree in Liberal Arts with a major in chemistry and biology from Indiana University.

After serving seix months in the U.S. Army National Guard, he embarked on a career in data processing as a systems analyst and programmer and later was involved in sales for various corporations, Including Abbott Laboratoreis, AMOCO Chemicals, International Harvester and Mercury Motor Express.

Bill is survived by his daughters, Margaret and Cheryl Ann, granddaughter Marissa and brothers Robert, David and Tom.
