Penelope (Brouwer; Bresnahan) Farley

FARLEY, Penelope Anne (Brouwer; Bresnahan) October 23, 1939—October 25, 2016

Pennelope Anne Brouwer of Hinsdale, IL was a member of our class, 1957-1959. She resided her freshman year in Mears Hall with Nancy Welch (Barnby) as her roommate and became an Amercian Studies major. She also was a member of the Future Teachers of America.

She left the College to be married to Richard Bresnahan (’59) on December 30, 1959. They subsequently had three children: Jeffrey Alan, Timothy Craig and Karen Marie.

After her divorce she married Norman J. Farley, who died a number of years ago.

Penny had various jobs in Blue Ridge Summit, PA; Hickory Hill, Hinsdale and Naperville, IL; Morriston, NJ; Marietta and Canton, GA; and Stillwarter, OK.

She died in Stillwater, OK and is survived by her three children.
