Douglas, John Brenton (11/23/1939–01/24/1995).

John Douglas of Omaha, Nebraska spent a year at Grinnell College before transferring to Omaha University (n/k/a the University of Nebraska at Omaha), where he received a B.A. in English in 1961. John then joined his father in the family’s Omaha printing business that was interrupted in 1965 by service in the U.S. Air Force.

John was a long-time member of Dundee Presbyterian Church in his home town and was on its Board of Deacons. He also was a member of two Masonic organizations: Shriners International and the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry.

At age 55, John died of cancer. He was survived by his wife, Emily “Ami” Cotton Douglas, daughters Emily “Mimi” Douglas (now True) and Megan Douglas, brother Donald Douglas, who died last year, and other relatives.
